Black Cockatoo Banksia Fine Art Print
Black Cockatoo Banksia Fine Art Print
This Australian botanical limited edition print is 297mm x 297mm (or 29.7cm x 29.7cm) in size and will fit a 30cm by 30cm frame from a standard frame store. This print is one of three in the Banksia series.
The print was created from an original oil painting, painted by Natalie Blackman of Blue Green Girl Creations. The painting took over a hundred hours to create and is originally 61cm x 61cm in size. The original painting has been sold. The inspiration for this painting was from my love of the unique, sculptural nature of the banksia cones and flowers. I felt I couldn’t paint the banksia plant without it’s regular companion, the yellow tailed black cockatoo. The cockatoo that has been depicted in this painting is a female bird with its grey detail around the eye and her bony coloured beak.
This print will be packaged in a waterproof bag and mailed in a tube to your destination. Once you have received your print, flatten under some heavy books, while still in the waterproof bag. After the print is flat, select a frame of your choice. Preferably do not position the print in direct sunlight. However, if you choose a wall position in a direct sunlight position, you will need to use museum quality, UV protectant glass to protect from fading of the inks of the print.
